CONCERNING A LUKEWARM CHURCH: ARE YOU IN ONE? OR ARE YOU, YOURSELF, LUKEWARM--INDIFFERENT TOWARD JESUS AND APATHETIC, LAZY ABOUT KNOWING HIM THROUGH STUDY OF THE WORD?

The only way to determine a lukewarm Church is by knowing the scripture. If they teach something false, you will know it. So read the Word. Study the Word. Let Jesus speak to you through that Word.

Seek Jesus with all of your heart, every day--then you KNOW you are NOT lukewarm....

A sign of a lukewarm Church is that they don't talk about sin, but self-improvement by personal motivation. They do not talk about God's holiness, nor do they teach that He cannot/will not tolerate ANY sin, no matter how big or small.. They don't mention hell and believe that hell is NOT eternal. They will say that a God of love cannot send a person to hell, and NEGLECT to say that a person sends himself/herself to hell by rejecting Jesus, by ignoring the cross, by abhorring the blood that Jesus shed on the cross that pays the penalty for sin, in full.. They will say that a person's good works will put him in a right relationship with God, when reliance upon Jesus' shed blood is THE ONLY WAY. They will claim there are MANY roads that lead to God, many paths, many religions that lead to heaven, when the Bible declares there is ONLY ONE narrow road--Jesus. They will uphold tolerance, extreme tolerance--and say that Allah is ”god”, or that homosexuality is okay (when God says it is an abomination).

There are many manifestations of lukewarmness. I have only touched upon a few of them.

To say it more simply, it is to follow the teaching and doctrines OF MEN while ignoring what God declares in His Word. Another big clue is that ”Laodecia” MEANS ”the rule of the people” -- it is NOT the Lordship of Jesus Christ in a lukewarm Church! rev 3:14-16
